| Antaresia childreni (Children's python) |
Antaresia childreni, also commonly known as Children's python which is of the nonvenomous python species that hails from Australia. They are capable of growing up to 150cm long at most. They tend to have a rainbow sheen when they are exposed to sunlight due to their crown scales. That aside, they are usually brown in color with few darker spots. They are named like that because they are often kept as pets since their nature is often good and the requirement to keep a healthy python is less demanding.

ReplyDeleteOf course that the reason of the name is totally different. It's a species dedicated to the British zoologist John George Children by the tutor of him, John Edward Gray, that is the descriptor of this species.
