Drymarchon couperi (Eastern indigo snake)
Drymarchon couperi, also commonly known as Eastern indigo snake which is one of the non venomous colubrid snake species that is native to the Eastern part of US. They also earned the title as being the most longest native snake species in US. That aside, they tend to be blue-black in color with some reddish-orange to tan color on the throat area. The longest they can grow is a whooping 280cm long and unlike other snake species, male tends to be more larger than female. That aside, their population is in threat as their habitat keep getting ruined. They are capable of killing their preys by wildly beating them against nearby objects.
