Scaphiodontophis annulatus (Half Coral Snake)
Scaphiodontophis annulatus, also known as Half Coral Snake that is one of the species of Colubridae which hails from certain region in Mexico, Peten, Belize and northen region of Yucatan Penisula. These snakes are unique as they have similar pattern as the other venomous snake; Coral snake but in truth, they are rather harmless to humans. It is assumed that these snakes have similar pattern to Coral snakes and their tail structure are used as defense mechanism from other predators. Aside from that, their teeth shapes are all even unlike other snakes, which is rather unique as that function to hunt for skinks more efficiently.
