Storeria occipitomaculata occipitomaculata (Northern redbelly snake)
Storeria occipitomaculata occipitomaculata, also known as the Northern redbelly snake that is one of the nonvenomous snake species of the Colubridae family that hails from North America. They tend to grow up to 31cm long at most at adulthood. That aside, they come in variety of colors such as tan-brown, grey-brown, chestnut-brown, grey or black that is accompanied with yellow spots on the head area as their underbelly is in coral or brick red. Since they are also one of the secretive in nature, they tend to show up under the log or rocks and sometimes even end up on moist flowerbeds in gardens.
