Dendroaspis polylepis (Black mamba)
Dendroaspis polylepis also commonly known as Black mamba which is one of the highly venomous snakes as it is endemic to the sub-saharan area of Africa. They are also known to be the longest venomous snake in Africa and the fastest snake in the world, capable of moving at 11km/h at 43m. Their venom is deadly as it is one of the most rapid acting venom, capable of killing a human in under 20 minutes. They are usually around 250 cm long at adulthood and they come in olive, brown, gray and sometimes khaki in colors.
