| Drymarchon melanurus (Blacktail cribo) |
Drymarchon melanurus, also commonly known as Blacktail cribo is one of the large tropical colubrid snake that hails from Central America. They are able to grow up to roughly 300cm long at most so far and their color scheme changes as time passes from golden brown at the head to black at their tails. These snakes are considered to be endangered and it also require special permit to keep one as pets. Because these snakes became one of the popular pets to keep, the wildlife will not be pressured. Unlike other snakes, the Blacktail cribo has a really fast metabolism and requires a lot of foods. Their bites can be painful, so owners of these snakes must be more cautious as they can mistake their hand for food.
