Leptodeira annulata (Banded cat-eyed snake)
Leptodeira annulata, also commonly known as Banded cat-eyed snake which is one of the medium-sized venomous colubrid snake endemic species to the New World. They tend to grow up to 75cm long during adulthood and their body is really long and slender. That aside, they tend to have their heads distinct from their necks and their eyes have vertical pupils, which helped them earn their names. They are often in yellow or brown in color accompanied with series of dark brown or black spots formed in a zig-zag formation. Their venom are only effective on smaller animals and only cause mild irritation on humans.
